FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS ABOUT FITNESS AT ATP

I’ve never done Pilates but want to start. Which classes do you recommend?
We require everyone to start with our Introductory Offer, which consists of three Private Pilates class and one Mat Class. This will give you the basic knowledge of Pilates and working on the equipment. After these four classes you can talk with your trainer and decide what’s your best option; to take more privates or move onto group Pilates sessions.

I want to do Partner Pilates. How do I go about this?
If you’re coming in with a partner, call 626-403-6545 and make an appointment. However, if you do not have a partner, let the front desk know and we can match you up with someone else who is looking to Partner Pilates.

How many times a week should I do Pilates for the best results?
We recommend three times a week for best results. You can switch it up with Mat Pilates on Tuesdays at 7:10pm or even try out our Booty Barre classes for a different type of workout. Consistency is the key for success!

Can I do Pilates if I’m Pregnant?
Absolutely, Pilates is the perfect choice through pregnancy. It’s safe, low impact and prepares the body for a quicker, faster delivery and speedier recovery.  If you have been doing Pilates before getting pregnant, you can continue with your pre-pregnancy workouts for the first trimester, even if you are doing group Pilates. However, as you move into your second trimester it’s best to work privately with a trainer for the best workout possible as you transition through your pregnancy.

Is Pilates for children too?
Pilates is wonderful form of exercise for children, especially if he or she is into sports, as Pilates will help to prevent injury and increase performance. Due to the size of our Pilates equipment, we recommend due to the size of the Pilates equipment child be at least 9 years old before working out on our machines.

I want a personal trainer.  How can I book one?
Call the front desk at 626-403-6545 and express your needs and times you are available and we’ll connect you with the best trainer that suits your needs.

The Booty Barre class interests me.  What now?
Your first class is free so come and try, you have nothing to lose! Let the instructor know you’re new and go at your own pace. It’s a fun class that will get your body shredding weight.  Once you try it, you’ll love it!
